One hymn that came to mind when discussing dangers on the water was “Jesus Savior, Pilot Me”. I’ve always liked the words, it describes our need for Christ to be in the boat with us. As a kid I thought the hymn was about Jesus flying us in a plane 🙂. I was also thinking about a Harbor Master who takes large ships to dock because they know the harbor well - again imagery of the Savior taking over for us when we are unfamiliar or ignorant of waterways.
